ToyBox Delivery Morning Tea
ToyBox International have funded just over $30,000 worth of walkers, wheelchairs and specialised trikes for local children with cerebral palsy.
In Australia, it is estimated that for every 400 babies born, one has or will develop Cerebral Palsy.
Cerebral palsy is the most common form of childhood physical disability that results from damage to or dysfunction of the developing brain.
The condition can affect people in different ways requiring them to rely on such equipment, this can include body movement, muscle control and coordination, reflex, posture and balance.
To celebrate the handover of these devices to the families, ToyBox International hosted a morning tea on Tuesday 24th of March.
Joining us were the families met through the Centre for Cerebral Palsy who received the donation and the individuals and companies who funded them for ToyBox International.
It was a special day, spent playing on the playground in the sunshine and eating yummy icecream.
