On Friday the 1st of September, 24 of Australia’s most beautiful, intelligent, and driven women took to the stage for the 2023 Miss Universe Australia National Final, held in the Grand Ballroom of Sofitel Melbourne on Collins where Moraya Wilson was named as Miss Universe Australia 2023.

As a group, the 2023 Miss Universe Australia State and National Finalists raised just over $400,000 for ToyBox. Through self-organised events, raffles, and donations seeked, they surpassed their goal collectively.

The main grant recipients from the funding generated being Camp Quality who directed funding into camps nationally and Ronald McDonald House securing numerous annual room sponsorships nationally. While the State Finalists had the opportunity to attend Camp Quality camps in a volunteer capacity, the National Finalists participated in a Camp Quality Fun Day event during the National Final week, putting smiles on the local Melbourne children’s faces with fun at an adventure centre.

The 2023 National ToyBox Ambassador was named as Mary Lopez, who personally raised $18.5k. 2022 National ToyBox Ambassador, Sally Kurzke, was also awarded the very first lifetime ToyBox Ambassadorship, after continuing her fundraising for ToyBox, raising over $45.5k in the past 2 years.

We are grateful to the effort they put in each year and what they are able to achieve for Australian children in need. Bring on 2024!
