CARDIAC TRANSDUCER PROBE

a sonographer standing in front of a sonography machine holding a probe

FUNDED $9,500

The Cardiac Transducer allows sonographers to produce an image of the heart during an ultrasound. This can be used to evaluate various problems with the heart and its functions, including analysing the quality of blood flow to and from the heart, gaining information on the heart’s structure, as well as providing a deeper understanding on the patient’s heart abnormalities. The cardiology department at PCH completes approximately 5,000 cardiac ultrasound scans per year and is used for paediatric patients, as well as neonatal and foetal cardiac exams.

You have enabled ToyBox to fund the purchase of a Cardiac Transducer for Perth Children’s Hospital.

Funded thanks to fundraising achieved at RQCC 2022.
