SENSORY GARDEN FOR KIDS ARE KIDS!

Kids Are Kids! is an inclusive charity that supports children and their families in WA with developmental challenges, with a particular focus on disadvantaged and vulnerable children. They help children flourish by providing quality individualised services focused on children learning skills, developing confidence, independence and participating in the community.

Because of the phenomenal amount raised at RQCC, ToyBox has been able to fully fund a sensory garden for the Kids Are Kids! Jarvis House that will transform the existing grassed outdoor space (shown below) into a garden that will provide sensory stimulation, physical and cognitive activity, a sense of belonging and connection to the community as well as calming and reflective benefits. Up to 600 children will utilise the Kids Are Kids! sensory garden each year, and once completed, could look similar to the sensory garden shown below, designed by the same landscape architect that has been chosen for the Jarvis House project.

This project has been approved in premise, pre design and scope costs approved, and we are just waiting on the confirmed project completion cost.
